Ariane Aramburo is a seasoned journalist with years of experience.  Before her first on-air job, Ariane worked at Katz Continental Television Sales in Kansas City, Missouri as a sales assistant. She worked with local and national sales managers all over the country and learned about Nielsen ratings.

In February 2008, Ariane landed her first on-air job at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She was a part of launching the station's newly formatted morning show, Hometown This Morning with Kyle Martin and Wes Benter.  Ariane was the main fill-in anchor for evening shows and Live at 5 and later promoted to anchor the 10pm News.  Ariane knows what it's like to work from the ground up.  At KQTV, she worked as a "one-man band" learning all the trades of the newsroom like writing, editing, shooting video, reporting, anchoring and producing.  Ariane's coverage of several breaking news stories landed her several Kansas City Press Club Awards and a nomination for the Missouri Broadcaster's Association.  Her most recent award was from the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast.  Ariane was awarded their Woman of Courage, Confidence and Character Award for her outstanding service.

Ariane is also well-known for appearing on MSNBC's Caught on Camera episode with K-Strass the Yo-Yo Champion.  A man named K-Strass appeared on KQTV's Hometown This Morning in an attempt to trick the anchors into believing he was a master yo-yo artist.  His bazaar behavior and lack of tricks made that particular show an internet phenomenon.  Turns out, this K-Strass guy had duped a number of small midwest Television stations and KQTV landed on the list. Producers from the show interviewed Kyle and Ariane about their experience and the segment continues to run on MSNBC.  Ariane handled herself like a charm and can still laugh about it today.

April 2011, Ariane moved to the Norfolk, Virginia area to work at the NBC affiliate, WAVY-TV 10.  She co-hosted the station's lifestyle and ntertainment show called The Hampton Roads Show.  Ariane's magnetic personality immediately resonated with viewers. She brought charisma, professionalism and personality while interviewing celebrities, athletes, comedians, musicians, clients, chefs, etc. Ariane was responsible for enterprising a weekly segment called I Am Hampton Roads.  She sought out people with unique and interesting stories and featured them in a way that was true to character and heart-warming to the audience.  Ariane is a big believer that "everyone has a story."  Ariane traveled to New York City's Madison Square Garden to cover a behind the scenes All Access segment of the Michael Jackson: Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil.  She was the main fill-in traffic reporter and covered her first hurricane at WAVY-TV 10 (Hurricane Sandy).  Ariane has been the guest speaker, host and emcee and countless events in the Hampton Roads area during her time at WAVY-TV 10.  She enjoys speaking to youth and encouraging people to follow their dreams. She was a part of a peer led organization called TWP: Teens with a Purpose, where she and her husband worked as camp counselors showing teens how video and editing come together.

In June 2014, Ariane assumed the role of Morning Anchor at KTUU Channel 2 News, the NBC affiliate in Anchorage, Alaska.  The position was previously held by longtime anchor Sheila Balistreri who recently retired after more than 20 years at the station.  Ariane is no stranger to KTUU or Alaska.  She interned at the station in the summer of 2010 and is from Eagle River, Alaska.  Ariane went to Fire Lake Elementary, Gruening Middle School and graduated from Chugiak High School.  Ariane was a four-year member and captain her senior year for the Chugiak Chaparral Dance Drill Team.  Ariane also attended the University of Alaska Anchorage for one year.  Ariane competed in several pageants with her first win as Miss Bear Paw in 1996.  She later competed in the Miss America organization where she won the title of Miss Chugiak/Eagle River and later went on to compete for the title of Miss Alaska.  Ariane made the Top 10, which earned her a one-year scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage.  Ariane also won the swimsuit competition that year.

Ariane later transferred to Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism.  Ariane is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Ariane's parents still live in Eagle River, Alaska.  Her younger brother Kaylan lives in Arizona and her older brother Kyle lives in Anchorage.  He is also the Founder of Hybrid Color Films, a Full-Service production company.  Kyle is also an Emmy-Award winning director.

Ariane is married to Jules Ferguson and they both look forward to calling Anchorage home.
